Cardboardesign Announces Eco-friendly 'Liquid Cardboard'

(PRWEB) June 18, 2007 -- Cardboardesign is launching a new patent-pending product line called "Liquid Cardboard," a shape-changing item that can "flow" from one form to another. Each item can transform into different shapes from vases, bowls and candleholders to decorative shapes. In keeping with all of Cardboardesign's furniture and houseware products, Liquid Cardboard is made from recycled materials.

Liquid Cardboard is made from the inner layer of a special honeycomb corrugated cardboard. Through a patent-pending cutting process, the honeycomb is made into free-flowing shapes that retain the strength of the cardboard.

"One of the best aspects of our products is that we use recycled materials to make them and they can be recycled when you're finished with them," says Cardboardesign president Cathy Henszy. "This is one area where every person has power. Every time we purchase something that's recycled we make a difference. It saves landfill space, saves raw materials, and decreases air and water pollution."

Americans use more paper than any other country. Sometimes a paper product's life cycle is less than 20 seconds.

Liquid Cardboard and other Cardboardesign products are sold exclusively in New York City at Print Icon, 7 West 18th Street. For more information, www.cardboardesign.com.
